Linkage relation among selected markers in a QQE biplot
Under the menu VBV Biplot, click Genetic relations.
- The relation among markers displayed in a QQE biplot is based on their similarity or dissimilarity in response to the environments. Genetically linked markers are often located together as expected. However, genetically unlinked markers can also be located quite closely if they respond to the environment similarly.
- To examine the linkage relations among the markers in a QQE biplot, click VBV Biplot/Genetic correlation biplot.
- Closely linked markers will have long vectors and small angles among them; markers with short vectors and/or large angles tend to be independent of each other. The relationship among markers with short vectors can be more closely examined using secondary biplots (e.g. PC3 vs. PC4 or biplots contains only these markers).
- QTLs are suggested by an isolated marker or a group of closely linked markers.
